Privacy policy
Last updated: 30 May 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how A.R.S. — Active Resilience Solutions GmbH (“A.R.S.”, “we”, “us”), operator of the German Military Equipment (G.M.E.) website at germanmilitaryequipment.com (the “Website”), collects, uses and discloses your personal data. It is provided in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).
This Website is an informational site for our defence-technology products. It does not operate an online shop — there is no customer account, shopping cart, ordering or online payment. We process personal data only when you contact us or submit one of our enquiry forms, together with limited technical data needed to operate the site securely.
Please read this Policy carefully. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the end.
Controller
The controller responsible for the processing described here is:
A.R.S. — Active Resilience Solutions GmbH, Hornungsreuth 21, 95512 Neudrossenfeld, Germany.
Email: hlib.lieonov@activeresiliencesolutions.de · Telephone: +49 176 73887892.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use the Website, we may process the following:
- Enquiry data you submit through our forms (Request a briefing / procurement, Careers application, Press enquiry) or by email — such as your name, organisation or media outlet, country, role, email address, telephone number, the products or topics you are interested in, and the content of your message. For job applications this may also include the professional background, citizenship and security-clearance information you choose to provide and a link or file name for your CV.
- Technical and usage data collected automatically when you visit — such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the date and time of access — recorded in server log files by our hosting provider.
- A language preference stored in a functional cookie (see Cookies).
We do not collect payment data through this Website. Please do not send us special-category data or classified information; share only what is necessary for your enquiry.
Sources of personal data
We obtain personal data directly from you (via our forms, email or telephone), automatically from your device and browser when you use the Website, and from our service providers (such as our hosting provider) acting on our behalf.
How we use your data and legal bases
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To receive, verify and respond to your enquiry — procurement, recruitment or press — and to take steps at your request. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR; for job applications also § 26 BDSG.
- To operate, secure and maintain the Website, ensure technical stability and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interests, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To remember your chosen interface language. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- To comply with legal obligations, including export-control and commercial record-keeping, and to respond to lawful requests from authorities. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR.
- Where you give consent — for example by ticking the confirmation box on a form — on the basis of Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw consent at any time with future effect.
As a supplier of dual-use and military goods, we may need to verify your identity, your organisation and the intended end-use before we respond; this verification forms part of handling your enquiry.
Cookies
This Website uses a single functional cookie (“gme_lang”) that stores your selected language (English, German or Ukrainian) so the site displays correctly on your next visit. It contains no personal identifiers and is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies. You can delete cookies in your browser at any time.
How we disclose your data
We do not sell your personal data. We disclose it only:
- to service providers acting as processors on our behalf under a data-processing agreement — in particular our website hosting provider, which stores the Website and its data on our instructions;
- to other companies within our corporate group where necessary to handle your enquiry;
- where required to comply with law, regulation or a lawful request by a public authority, including export-control and customs authorities; and
- in connection with a corporate transaction such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards.
International transfers
The Website and your enquiry data are hosted within the European Union / EEA. Where a processor or recipient is located outside the EEA, we transfer personal data only with appropriate safeguards — such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses — or where an adequacy decision applies.
Retention
We keep enquiry and contact data only as long as necessary to handle your request and our subsequent business relationship, and thereafter for the periods required by statutory retention obligations (for example under commercial and tax law). Unsuccessful job applications are deleted within a few months unless you consent to longer storage. Server log files are kept for a short period for security purposes and then deleted or anonymised.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures — including TLS encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, so please do not send classified or export-controlled details through the Website forms.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access your personal data;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict our processing;
- data portability;
- object to processing based on our legitimate interests; and
- withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights and will respond within the statutory time limits; we may need to verify your identity first.
Children's data
The Website is directed at professional, governmental and defence audiences, not at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Third-party links
The Website may link to external sites we do not control, for example activeresiliencesolutions.de. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their own policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version is always published here with an updated “Last updated” date.
